Acquired at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Colorado Avenue Land is a rare historic development site envisioned to create 130 units of modern, affordable intergenerational housing in two phases. Comprised of 4.11-acres west of Havana Street between Jewell Avenue and Colorado Avenue in Aurora, Colorado Avenue’s Phase I development will include 81 one-, two-, and three-bedroom units for individuals and families with incomes ranging between 30% and 80% of Area Median Income (AMI). Phase II development will provide up to 50 units of senior housing serving income levels similar to those of Phase I. A heavily forested green space located on the north portion of the site will be preserved as a nature park for residents.
